Governor Issues Order Requiring Illinois Residents to 'STAY AT HOME'

3/20/2020

Following the advice of leading public health experts around the globe, Governor JB Pritzker issued a statewide 'Stay at Home' order, in an effort to keep new cases of COVID-19 from rapidly increasing and ensure the state’s health care system remains fully operational to treat patients in need of urgent care.

The 'Stay at Home' order becomes effective on Saturday, March 21st, at 5:00 P.M., and runs through April 7th.

In addition to the stay-at-home provisions, the Governor's order halts all evictions by local government units across the state, and bans gatherings of more than 10 people.
