Every April, National County Government Month (NCGM) offers counties across the country the opportunity to educate residents about county programs, raise public awareness about various services provided to communities, as well as to promote key county priorities.

Illinois counties are invited to join the National Association of Counties (NACo) in this year's celebration of county government ~ 'Counties Thrive'. Use this opportunity to showcase how you are serving your residents and driving recovery from COVID-19.

Since 1991, NACo has encouraged its members to actively promote county services and programs. NCGM is an excellent opportunity for counties to schedule various activities throughout the month of April to highlight facts and information many local residents do not know about but need to know.  Learn more about NCGM and how your county can join NACo in celebrating National County Government Month during the month of April.
