Starting New Year's Day 2023 Illinois minimum wage workers receive another dollar increase, making the new required minimum wage $13 an hour.
Illinois is on the path to a $15 an hour minimum wage by 2025, in line with the schedule of wage increases included in 2019 legislation signed by Governor Pritzker.
Governor Pritzker noted that as minimum wage workers receive a raise starting January 1st, businesses will continue receiving tax credits for providing their workforce with a living wage.
