Increase in State's Minimum Wage Effective on July 1st

Under legislation signed into law by Governor Pritzker, the minimum wage rate increased for a second time this year. $10 per hour minimum wage increase becomes effective July 1st.

This marks the second time this year minimum wage earners have seen an increase in their hourly wage. An additional $1 per hour increase in Illinois' minimum wage will become effective each year on January 1st until it reaches $15 per hour in 2025.
