UCCI Receives $1 Million Royalty Check

2/19/2020

During the January 2020 UCCI Membership meeting, Mr. Gregg Peterson, Plan Administrator for the UCCI sponsored insurance program Illinois Counties Risk Management Trust (ICRMT), presented UCCI President David Meyer with the first 2020 royalty check in the amount of $1,060,296.

Mr. Peterson reported that 2020 renewals, to date, have increased over 2019, and that membership now totals 365 units of local government. Mr. Peterson announced that as a result of member school districts operating on a different fiscal year, an additional royalty check would be coming to UCCI in July 2020.

President Meyer congratulated Mr. Peterson and his staff for their continuing hard work each year to keep the UCCI sponsored insurance programs successful. President Meyer also reminded the membership that the royalty received by UCCI is the source of funds that allows UCCI to do what it does … education programs, training seminars, dues refunds, all functions/programs at no cost to members.

Developed by United Counties Council of Illinois in 1983, Illinois Counties Risk Management Trust, administered by Insurance Program Managers Group (IPMG), has been the leader in providing insurance and risk management services to Illinois public entities, including counties, municipalities, townships, park districts, special districts, public school districts and community colleges. ICRMT offers a full line of coverage options, including property, liability and workers’ compensation designed to meet the needs of the participants.
